Gravel is a very cost effective way of covering large areas of ground and quite inexpensive in terms of a driveway option. There are many options for gravel to choose from and comes in many forms, shapes and colours.

Installing gravel is as below:

• Once the ground works are completed heavy duty weed blanket is spread out and pinned.
  

• Spread the gravel for a walking area you will get 7 sqm out of a bulk bag. When laying gravel for a drive it needs to be much thicker so a bulk bag will cover 4.5 sqm to ensure the correct depth.
  

• It is important to edge gravel properly as the stones should not be spreading into areas it not meant to be in.
  

• Gravel has a life span of about 7 years after which it might start to look old and in need of a replacement.
